Fifi Box breaks down in tears on-air after heartbreaking listener call

Emotions ran high this week on The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick brekky show, with Fifi Box breaking down in tears on-air after a listener shared a heartbreaking story about her son’s battle with bullying.

The segment aired moments after the show launched the second edition of The Fox’s life-changing initiative, The Underdogs.

Nicole called in to describe her son’s struggles with relentless bullying at school, revealing that the 12-year-old had been unable to leave the house due to the emotional toll it had taken on him.

Deeply moved, Fifi offered Jake a place on The Underdogs, a team designed to give kids excluded from sports due to bullying or health issues a chance to shine.

The Underdogs: The Basketball Edition will give these children the opportunity to take the court at Melbourne’s John Cain Arena during halftime at the Melbourne United vs. Sydney Kings game on Thursday, October 31.

The Underdogs’ first edition, which featured a junior footy team playing at Marvel Stadium, was a resounding success, giving a group of excluded kids a life-changing experience as Fev led them out to the field as a curtain-raiser for the Carlton vs. Port Adelaide blockbuster.

Tahlia from Mooroolbark also shared how the first edition of The Underdogs transformed her son’s confidence after he became part of the junior footy team.
