Eagle FM’s Sam and Ant on a mission to help kids with cancer

Reporter

Sam and Ant – Breakfast hosts at Goulburn’s 93.5 Eagle FM – are on a special mission to help the 86 children who are diagnosed with cancer every month in Australia.

They’ve teamed up with the The Empire Hotel to DJ a party on April 4, raising money for the Children’s Cancer Institute.

The boys have been busy on-air in the lead up, getting listeners to call in and tell them what tracks they want them to spin on the night, organising free drink tokens … as well as four dollar beers!

There have been some excruciating negotiations,” said Sam and Ant. “We want to make it affordable for people, so there’s plenty left to donate to a good cause.”

Sam and Ant have also joined forces with Goulburn-based Tribe Breweries to help raise funds for their 86K walk, in the quest to find a cure for childhood cancer. So far, nearly $18,000 has been raised and over 1,000 kilometres conquered.
