Dante Moss: The sixteen year old who embodies the future of radio

Darwin has long served as a launchpad for radio careers, and for local ARN Content Director Sarah Passalick, nothing beats spotting the next generation of radio talent – and being in a position to help them grow.

“My mission has been to find people who live and breathe this industry … then show them how incredible it truly is.”

Enter Dante Moss, the sixteen-year-old radio intern and local DJ who’s become a regular fixture on Darwin’s Hot100.

Passalick took to LinkedIn to sing the praises of Dante, who embodies everything that is exciting about the future of radio.

Not only has Dante been DJing in venues across the city for years already, he’s been mentored by Cyril – one of the industry’s best.

Dante frequently features in Hot100 videos and segments alongside Breakfast duo Sam and Ant, his ongoing stint tracking online through the running station gag that his ‘work experience is finally paying off.’

In social media clips, Dante is jokingly featured as the ‘intern who didn’t do his homework,’ resulting in comedic punishment, such as impromptu studio dance lessons.

Dante’s not the only sixteen-year-old doing great things in the audio sphere – and whose passion for radio belies his age.

Earlier this month, we brought you the story of Max Munday (pictured above) who has his own radio industry podcast and was a finalist at the inaugural Australian Audio Awards.

Like Max, Passalick says Dante is not just ‘interested’ in radio – he’s all in.
