Damien Carbon returns to Triple M

Staff Writer

92.9 Triple M Perth has recruited Damien Carbon as a broadcast journalist and newsreader for the station.

This marks a return to the radio brand for the broadcaster, who was a news and sports reader for Triple M and 2DayFM in Sydney between 1998 and 2007.

He then moved into media advisory and communications roles, including media and communications manager for the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, and sponsorship executive for the Fremantle Football Club.

During his time with Fremantle, he was also a newsreader across SCA’s Mix 94.5 and 92.9.

Since he departed radio again in 2013, he’s worked in government roles including senior media advisor for the Department of Premier and Cabinet of WA, the director of campaigns for the COVID-19 Information Coordination Centre, and the director of corporate communications for the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries in WA.

92.9 was rebranded as Triple M in December last year and since then has been building both its on-air and off-air teams.
