Christian O’Connell’s book ‘No One Listens To Your Dad’s Show’ to be released in June

GOLD 104.3 radio star Christian O’Connell has revealed his upcoming book will be titled No One Listens To Your Dad’s Show.

The book, available now for pre-order, will be released on June 1.

The book has already been endorsed by the likes of Hamish Blake, Andy Lee, Amanda Keller and Adam Hills, as well as international comedians Ricky Gervais and Russell Brand.

“I knew it would be clever, I knew it would be funny, but what I didn’t expect was for this book to have so much heart. A must read for not just radio lovers but for anyone who’s thinking of making a big life change. It can be done,” Lee said.

Brand said he loved the read.

“Christian has achieved something very beautiful and funny with this book, weaving ordinary life and every day sadness into something hopeful and profound,” he said.

O’Connell said the book is about why he moved here and the first two years on the other side of the world.

“We had no idea when we moved to Australia what it would be like,” he said on his radio show this morning. “And, a couple of weeks ago I had dinner with Duncan [Campbell], the man who hired me. And I still say to him now, ‘I still don’t get why you did it. It’s such a crazy thing to do to bring an English guy out here,'” he said, also noting the amount of hateful messages he received at the time.

People who pre-order the book and email their receipt to O’Connell will have the chance to end up on the show, meet the team and go to breakfast with the radio star.
