Aussies shine at #RDE15

Staff Writer

Radiodays Europe 2015 has wrapped up and it has been another huge success. Over 1200 radio experts from all over world gathered in Milan to share ideas, experiences and predictions of the future.

Radiodays is regarded by most as the leading radio conference in the world, and is now far more of a destination than the US conferences, which used to be the preferred trip. There was a strong contingent of Australian presenters including Mel Greig, Southern Cross Austereo’s Sam Cavanagh, SBS Radio’s Mark Cummins, Matt Saraceni from Omny, Adam Ferrier, Peter Don from BPR and Paul Amos from Xtra Research to name a few.

Following each of their sessions, most spoke about their presentation, and you can see those videos below.

Mark Cummins: SBS Australia – The Call from a hostage

Mark Cummins is the Content Manager of SBS in Australia. In this video he talks about taking a call from a hostage during the Sydney siege… he is suddenly faced with a dilemma, put the call on air and draw huge audiences, or take the call and hand it over to the police.
