Ash London LIVE recruiting for a senior producer

Staff Writer

The Hit Network’s nightly music program, Ash London LIVE, is seeking a senior producer.

The role will oversee every aspect of on-air content and talent, as well as executing the overall strategic direction of the show.

“We are on the hunt for a seasoned radio pro and creative powerhouse who has the hunger, ambition, and skills to take the show to new heights. You will love working in a high energy environment and won’t be afraid of a challenge,” Southern Cross Austereo (SCA), said.

The show is after someone with producing experience, who is a “bulldog when it comes to chasing content”. You must be proactive, connected to pp culture, proficient in social media, and have exceptional time management and organisational skills, the job description added.

Violet Merhi, who has been working on the program since 2017, recently took up the post of executive producer of The Morning Crew with Hughesy, Ed & Erin.

Ash London LIVE runs from 7pm to 10pm on weeknights.

Can someone please explain to me how to Ash London Live program survives when it only rates around 3%?

it survives because at SCA, people’s feelings are much more important than ratings

Fair point Ash is lovely but how has she survived so long. She doesn’t really fit very well with Fix and 2DAYFM’s direction, doesn’t rate and I don’t know I don’t get it. Must be a long contract ? Was this a Gemma hire years ago ? Ash could be good doing music interviews on The Sound or on MTV if it sill exists.

@ROb @Clau – Yeah 3% in Sydney but it rates well and higher than Nova in other markets. Rating well in Sydney doesn’t decided if your national show is successful or not lol
