ARN appoints Rich Howells as national digital commercial director

Former Assistant Editor

ARN continues to restructure its national leadership team, with the latest move seeing the appointment of a national digital commercial director.

Rich Howells has been chosen to head up the development of ARN’s multi-platform commercial strategy across digital assets.

His duties will extend outside of terrestrial radio and will include assets The Roar and iHeartRadio.

Rich has over 14 years of experience in digital marketing and joins the ARN team from Amobee where he was Group Operations Director APAC.

“We welcome Rich to ARN as part of our recent restructure of the National Commercial Leadership Team. Rich’s appointment is a key part of ARN’s commercial strategy to continue to drive growth and leverage our digital assets nationally.”

He’ll commence the new role on April 8 in Melbourne.

The ongoing restructure was triggered by the sale of outdoor advertising arm Adshel by ARN’s parent company HT&E last year.

HT&E then appointed ex Ten CEO Hamish McLennan as chair, before phasing out the role of ARN CEO Rob Atkinson who departed the business.

More recently, ARN completed the integration of Conversant Media into its network, and has since made several staffing changes to its leadership team.
