AFTRS ‘Show Radio’ is live at the Easter Show

Assistant Editor

The Sydney Royal Easter Show is playing host to the radio students from AFTRS.

The Graduate Diploma in Radio students are broadcasting ‘Show Radio’ from 7am to 8pm daily between now and Tuesday, April 23.

It will have a “modern country music” format and features information about what’s happening in and around the show.

It will act as a “baptism of fire” into live broadcast for the students, say acting heads of radio Tony Rasmussen and Jessica Campanaro.

“Students present, produce, report from the field and create digital content on site, sharing the fun and energy of the Sydney Royal Easter Show with listeners,” said Jess.

“One panel operator is based each shift at our studios in Moore Park to put the show to air as an Outside Broadcast, while the rest of the crew collaborate on site from studio space with an amazing view across the main arena in Showground Stadium at Homebush.”
