Advertisers return to Jones show today

Staff Writer

The protest group 'Destroy the Joint', which led the charge for advertisers to boycott the Alan Jones show, posted this on Facebook last night.

"2GB will bring advertisers back to Alan Jones's show tomorrow. We need your help. Our community politely requested that Macquarie Radio Network and its employees sign our Pledge to stop sexism and misogyny. They have ignored our repeated requests.

But now we know that Macquarie Radio Network no longer cares about community standards. So it is up to us to let advertisers know what the Australian community accepts.

Please listen in to the Alan Jones show tomorrow morning. Let our community know which companies are advertising by posting on this page.

We are listening. Australian women and men are listening.

Sexism? It stops with me."

Macquarie Radio Network boss Russell Tate has told 'The Sydney Morning Herald' that advertisers would be returning to the Alan Jones program today, but wouldn't say how many or who they were.
