ACE Radio music director Paul Fidler departs

Former Assistant Editor

Paul Fidler has finished up at the ACE Radio Network this week.

As it turns out, ACE Radio hasn’t been immune to the mass redundancies taking place across commercial radio over the last couple of months.

Fidler revealed the news in an email, thanking those around the industry and to say “goodbye from my position at ACE Radio.”

He continued; “It has been a pleasure to work with you all and many others over the journey. I have seen many of theses emails over my time, it’s my turn now.

“I had leave booked for next week, it will now be a bit longer than I first planned and then I hope to move on some opportunities that have been on the backburner and hopefully we will cross paths again.”

Fidler’s departure is the second major change at ACE in recent months, with John Vertigan announced as group content director in October last year.

NOVA Entertainment and Southern Cross Austereo both announced multiple redundancies at the back end of 2019, while ARN axed its 97.3FM Breakfast show among other changes.
