ABC’s pop-up digital station ‘Extra’

During this month, the ABC's pop-up digital radio station 'ABC Extra' will be presenting two very special broadcasts.

Eclipse

On Wednesday November 14 there will be a total solar eclipse. ABC Radio will broadcast from the remote indigenous community of Ramingining, the first place in Australia to witness the event. They will then move on to Cairns in Far North Queensland to track the eclipse across the tropical north of Australia.

They will follow events as people from around the world gather for this rare sight.

Pacific Break

Pacific Break on ABC Extra will be a special weekend showcasing new musical talent from across the Pacific. This will happen on Saturday November 17 and Sunday November 18.
