ABC Victoria Gives appeal partners with The Smith Family

Following another difficult year for many, ABC Radio Melbourne and ABC Radio Victoria have partnered with The Smith Family for the 2022 ABC Victoria Gives appeal to support students who need a helping hand with their education.

“It’s been another tough year for many families across Victoria and off the back of last year’s successful appeal which raised more than $325,000, we know that listeners will dig deep once again to support our youngest Victorians,” said ABC Local Melbourne Manager, Dina Rosendorff.

“Education is vital, and every child should have the same level of access to the tools they need to succeed. The Smith Family makes this a possibility and we are very pleased to be supporting them for the 2022 ABC Victoria Gives appeal.”

The Smith Family’s General Manager, Victoria Anton Leschen, said, “We’re excited to be part of ABC Gives this year, which will raise funds for our Christmas Appeal. Our appeal is focused on supporting students in need with extra learning opportunities to help them make the most of their education next year and beyond.”

“The Smith Family’s vision is to create a world where every child has the opportunity to change their future. And thanks to the contributions and support from ABC listeners throughout this year’s ABC Victoria Givescampaign, we hope to work with even more Victorian children in need and their families to help them unlock better futures for themselves.”

ABC Radio across Victoria will unite for a dedicated ‘Day of Giving’ on Tuesday November 29, with coverage and fundraising across all programs, all day. This all-day radiothon aims to inspire the community to give back and support The Smith Family in creating change for our young Victorians most in need.
