ABC Classic & Jazz: Kat McGuffie appointed as Content Manager

Kat McGuffie has been appointed as the Content Manager of ABC Classic and ABC Jazz. 

Having acted in the role for the past nine months, Kat already has in-depth experience and a vision for the trajectory of the networks where she will lead the commissioning of classic and jazz content across radio, online, ABC listen, ABC iview and ABC TV. 

“It’s an absolute privilege and dream to step into this role. I’m thrilled to continue working with some of the most talented and creative minds in the business to serve and grow classical and jazz audiences,” said McGuffie.

Kat was formerly the Executive Producer of Programs at ABC Classic and Executive Producer of the Classic 100, following over three years as a Live Music Producer for ABC Classic in Adelaide and Melbourne. 

As Content Manager for ABC Classic & Jazz, Kat will oversee network initiatives such as Classic Choir, Classic 100, Festival of Female Composers and Women of Jazz Festival, among others.

Kat is also on the board of the Melbourne International Jazz Festival and her career as a musician includes work as a composer and director.
