Abby Coleman is shaving her head in support of leukaemia sufferers

Former Assistant Editor

Hit Brisbane‘s Abby Coleman has embarked on a charity mission, this morning announcing that she’ll join the World’s Greatest Shave.

Stav, Abby & Matt were joined by Leah and her 10-year-old daughter Bridget on Hit105 Breakfast, and Abby’s voice audibly cracked as she introduced the mum and daughter.

Bridget suffers from leukaemia and Leah has been fundraising with the leukaemia foundation for years.

“Without the leukaemia foundation we wouldn’t have our 10-year-old,” she said.

Abby then got to the big announcement, revealing that she’s known Leah and Bridget for a number of years.

She struggled through the emotional revelation, revealing that after visiting Bridget some time ago, she resolved that “when you guys get through this, I’m going to do something good and commit that I’ll shave and raise as much money as I can.”

Abby has already raised almost $1,000 of her $50,000 goal, and she is taking donations here.

Well done Abby, Brisbane radio needs more of this.
