“A perfect fit.” Air News goes to air on 2AirFM

Reporter

In a case of radio serendipity, Air News will now be heard on 2AirFM.

The Coffs Harbour community station is the latest client to come on board, broadcasting hourly reports from Australian Independent Radio News from this week.

And many 2AirFM listeners in Coffs will already be very familiar with a couple of the voices they’ll be hearing.

Air News Owner, Manager and presenter Terry Daniel was the first Breakfast announcer on Radio 2CS in Coffs, working at the station from 1985 to 2000.

And current Air News Breakfast presenter Leigh Harrison worked with Terry at the station from day one, building 2CS news and going on to fulfil other key roles there.

2AirFM Chairman Michael Black says having ‘Air on Air’ is more than just a happy coincidence.

“I think it’s an absolutely perfect fit.”

“Terry’s an all ’round good bloke and always happy to help. And having a local man owning the business that is now providing our news service, to me, is awesome.”

Terry says “It’s great to have 2AirFM join Air News and add to the number of stations on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales taking the service.”

“Air News is also heard on 2CHY FM (the youth station in Coffs Harbour), 2NVR Nambucca Valley Radio in Nambucca Heads and online on Radio 2DD in Coffs Harbour. Not too much further to the north we have Loving Life FM 103.1 in Grafton.”
