2UE: Over 103k raised by 9am

Sydney News Talk station 2UE is holding its second annual Christmas Appeal for The Children's Hospital at Westmead today.

The Appeal kicked off with Breakfast team John Stanley and Garry Linnell, who have just wrapped up their shift raising $103,160 by 9am.

2UE is at the hospital right throughout the day with Drive’s Justin Smith wrapping up the appeal at 6pm with the final tally.

 “Our inaugural Christmas Appeal last year for the Children’s Hospital was a huge success, raising $837,000 in donations. We’re hoping this year’s Appeal is bigger and better because it’s such a fantastic cause,” 2UE Content Director Clinton Maynard said.

The Christmas Appeal will rollout celebs including Bonnie Sveen from Home and Away, Jim Wilson, Mark Ferguson, Sarah Cumming and Dr Andrew Rochford.

Plus 2014 X Factor winner Marlisa will perform along with Christine Anu and Jenny Queen.
