20 years on, Guy Sebastian performs Waltzing Matilda for Nova’s Ben, Liam & Belle

It was nearly 20 years ago now that Guy Sebastian last performed at the AFL Grand Final.

Guy was front and centre at the MCG in 2004, after being crowned the first ever Australian Idol the previous year.

Ahead of the 2023 AFL Grand Final, Nova’s Ben, Liam & Belle asked Guy to rehash his 2004 appearance with a rousing performance of Waltzing Matilda – the tune he sang when Brisbane played Port Adelaide.

In keeping with the Grand Final atmosphere, Collingwood favourite Isaac Quaynor also revealed plans to release his own brand of cologne.

Isaac told Ben, Liam & Belle “I tried to come up, make a combination of my two probably favourite scents. One’s like a caramel type of scent, and the other ones kind of a like a tobacco, woody type scent, and I tried to kind of infuse the two.”
