10 year milestone for 5MU’s Adam Connelly

The word ‘legend’ gets bandied around a lot these days, but as far as Adam Connelly’s workmates are concerned – he’s certainly befitting of the tag.
This week the popular radio host, writer and Content Director celebrates 10 years as part of the team at South Australia’s 5MU and Power FM.
He tells Radio Today “It’s a privilege to talk to this great community so to have that privilege for a decade is wonderful.”
“I’ve had the fortune to work with some of the best and the current line up is as good as those.”
Jennie Lenman – Connelly’s Breakfast co-host on 5MU’s Adam and Jennie – says it’s been an honour to celebrate her friend, colleague and mentor.
“Adam is a very funny and witty radio practitioner, with a positive attitude and an intelligent perspective.”
Under Adam’s leadership as Content Director for 5MU and Power FM, Jennie says she has become a more rounded and confident communicator and jokester, going off-script and into unexpected places.
“We have so much fun together each morning. We’re able to cover a range of topics from serious to silly in a matter of moments, with sincerity and compassion for the listener .”
“I’m truly grateful to Adam for helping me become the radio announcer I am today.”

Adam has long been one of the most versatile and accomplished announcers on air. Intelligent, funny, creative and invested in his audience.
I had the pleasure of working alongside Adam for many years and he deserves all the love for his talents.
