Staff Writer

WSFM’s Jonesy & Amanda are launching a new digital radio station developed to raise money for the Sydney Children's Hospital.

WS4KIDS will stream music and kid content with Jonesy & Amanda being the voices of the station along with WSFM arvo host Bill Weaver.

It will feature :-

  • A playlist of children’s music
  • ‘Lullaby Mode’ – every night from 7pm -7am WS4KIDS will calm the kids before bedtime
  • ‘Story Time’ – Jonesy & Amanda have handpicked their favourite bedtime stories to read on air which will be played each night
  • The station will also air interviews and stories from families and staff of the Sydney Children’s Hospital

Jonesy said:

"We're huge supporters of all the great work that Sydney Children's Hospital does. Last year we raised $45,000 for them and now we're giving them their very own radio station"

Amanda said:

"This station is just for the kids – both those at home and the brave little ones in hospital. They get to hear all the music they love, Jonesy and I read some of their favourite stories and there are more gentle songs played at bedtime, where we slow things down so the kids can get a good sleep"

"I may have thrown the odd Iron Maiden track in there to spice things up, but yeah, other than that, it's totally lullaby hour," adds Jonesy.

All proceeds from WS4KIDS will go toward buying life-saving medical equipment, funding staffing positions, refurbishing wards and parents' accommodation as well as fund research into children’s health.
