Jonesy & Amanda action figures front new WSFM campaign

WSFM 101.7 Breakfast hosts Brendan ‘Jonesy’ Jonesy and Amanda Keller have been recast as action figures as part of a new light-hearted campaign by creative agency Emotive.

The campaign launches today on TV and will also roll out on BVOD, transit, digital and social channels in the coming weeks.

The campaign is the first to come out of ARN since the company rebranded from the Australian Radio Network.

ARN’s chief connections officer Lauren Joyce applauded the new campaign for helping to drive the WSFM identity home as part of the network’s ‘Defining Audio’ brand evolution.

“This new campaign really represents where WSFM is now, it’s all about fun, vitality and living your best life – which Jonesy & Amanda do every morning on their Breakfast show,” Joyce said.

“They were an integral part of developing this new campaign and you can see their familiar humour, wit and smarts all over it.”

Keller Jones both expressed their elation at being reimagined as action figures for the new campaign.

“Ever since I was a little girl, I have dreamed of being a dolly,” Keller said.

“But not one of the ones that wees or cries like Teary Deary, but more like a Barbie – who can be an astronaut one day and a flight attendant the next.”

Jones added: “At last, I’m a collectible action figure. I don’t know if I’ve got kung fu grip though.”

Emotive is majority owned by ARN’s parent company HT&E. Its foundation client upon launch was ARN’s iHeartRadio, but it has since worked with brands outside the ARN family including Audible, Optus, HelloFresh, Google, ModiBodi and Pernod Ricard.

In December, ARN announced Emotive had been appointed to lead ARN’s brand strategy and campaign work nationally.
