10 launches ‘explosive’ podcast about female politicians, Women Of The House

10 News First Person has debuted a new podcast series on 10 Speaks to uncover exactly what happens behind closed doors at Parliament House.

The six-episode Women Of The House series will see Ten’s political reporter Stela Todorovic sit down with a number of prominent female politicians, discussing their career experiences as women to gain an insight into the workplace culture at Parliament House.

The series’ first episode, featuring Greens senator Sarah Hanson-Young, is out now on 10 Speaks, with future guests including Tanya Plibersek and Anne Ruston to appear in coming weeks.

10 publicity said the podcast will be “explosive”.

Women Of The House will launch on 10 Play alongside Making Money Easy, a new economics podcast hosted by senior finance reporter Gillian Bowen to discuss financial news and what it means to the listener.

10 Network’s director of news content Ross Dagan said that both podcasts would “go beyond the headlines” to help educate listeners on key topics.

“At 10 News First we are committed to helping our audiences better understand what’s going on around them,” Dagan said.

“These new podcasts go beyond the headlines to answer ‘Why’ on pivotal areas that affect us all.”

Network 10 first branched off into podcasting with 10 Speaks back in 2019, launching the platform alongside Acast.

Since then, the network has commissioned several special podcasts for the platform, including the true crime podcast Where’s William Tyrell?, two-part fake news investigation The Conspiracy Virus, and Waleed Aly’s So Now What? series.
