Who’ll fill in for Nova’s Kate Ritchie when her baby arrives?

Staff Writer

Nova Entertainment Group Program Director Paul Jackson has given Radio Today the scoop on who will fill in for Kate Ritchie when her baby is born.

Ritchie, who started on Nova’s national drive show Kate, Tim and Marty, at the start of the year, is more than six months pregnant.

So who’ll replace her on air when bub arrives?

Jackson said ‘nobody’.

“She’s only going to be away for a short period of time, so at this stage we don’t plan on doing any ‘replacing’.”

“She’ll be popping in and out, even when she is away, and she’s only gone for the best part of six weeks.”

Jackson said he expects Ritchie to bring her bundle of joy into the studio with her when she returns.

And he’s happy to help out: “It will probably be my job in the afternoon to make sure the baby is okay.”

“I love all that, I’ve got three kids.”
