“Where there is hope, there is life.” Baby joy for the Hit Network’s Christie Hayes

After a publicly-documented, four-year IVF journey, Christie Hayes from The Hit Network’s Dan & Christie Breakfast show has revealed the joyous news that she and her hubby – Triple M’s Justin Coombes-Pearce – are expecting a child.

The former Home and Away and Neighbours star has been open about her fertility challenges.

In a powerful on-air segment last year, she spoke about experiencing a ‘non-viable’ pregnancy and the heartbreak that followed, in the hope of helping others feel less alone in their IVF struggles.

This morning’s emotional show included a recap of her journey, including of Christie telling the news to her two sons and surprising her co-host Dan Taylor with a lunchbox containing multiple positive pregnancy tests.

Christie thanked listeners for their continued support and said it was their unwavering hope that helped carry her through.

“Where there is hope, there is life,” Christie said.
