Triple M Adelaide to put on Weekend Of Rock in February

Staff Writer

Triple M Adelaide has declared that live music is back in the city, with the Adelaide Oval set to host The Angels, Zep Boys, Jon Stevens, Daryl Braithwaite and Boom Crash Opera.

The event, titled Weekend of Rock, will take place in February and mark one year since the Oval hosted its last live music act when Queen took to the stage.

The Angels, dubbed “Australia’s longest-lasting band”, will kick off the event on Friday, February 19. On Saturday, the Zep Boys will bring “the world’s leading Led Zeplin live show” to Adelaide Oval, with a special performance from The Masters Apprentices.

The concert series will be rounded out on Sunday by Jon Stevens, who will perform hits from Noiseworks and INXS. He will be joined by Daryl Braithwaite and Boom Crash Opera.

Stevens said: “It’s a long overdue welcome return to live music outdoors in a COVID-safe environment. I look forward to performing the Noiseworks and INXS collection for you all on an amazing Weekend Of Rock.”

Tickets start at $79 per night and go on sale via Ticketek on Friday, January 8.
