Wave FM’s Ryan Cram claims long lost swimming record

Ryan “Crammy” Cram, from 96.5 Wave FM’s new drive show, Lyndal and Crammy, has finally got his hands on the one public school swimming record that didn’t have his name on it.

“I used to be quite the swimmer back in the day. I still, still, hold many 50 metre freestyle records at Mount Brown Public school – except one. The Under 13,” said Crammy.

The Under 13 record is held by Dane Clout, who Crammy went to school with and who the Illawarra’s newest drive show tracked down.

“Why don’t you take him on and see if you can beat him, and beat his time,” said Lyndal.

Crammy didn’t have to be asked twice, and after convincing Clout, the race was on. Lyndal even made sure Crammy was at his fastest by organising a full body wax to help him glide through the water at the race venue, Corrimal Pool.

The result? Ryan Cram beat Dane Clout and even beat his Under 13 time, meaning Crammy now (unofficially) holds the Mount Brown Under 13yo 50 metre freestyle record, getting the one school swimming record that has eluded him for almost 30 years.

Talk about getting all your ducks in a row.
