Wade Kingsley resigns from dmg

Staff Writer

dmg Radio's Ideas Director, Wade Kingsley has resigned from the network after 16 and a half years. Wade is virtually part of the furniture at dmg, having worked for the group at 7 different locations, around 8 years in the regional network, and 8 in the metropolitan group.

He is leaving the industry to take up a new role outside radio.

Speaking to Radio Today about the move, after announcing it on his Facebook page, Wade said;

 "DMG has been fantastic to me over many long years.  A lot of people don't get an entire radio career lasting for the the time I've had in the one company so I'm eternally grateful for the opportunities and support I've been given."

"I was lucky enough to walk into my first station (FIVEaa) that had just been taken over by Paul Thompson so I had the best apprenticeship anyone could have wished for.  I joined DMG when I was 20, met my wife here, had kids, done 4 interstate moves so I've literally grown up in this place so it will be very sad to leave."

"I'm really looking forward to the next chapter of my career which I hope to be able to share more details of in the next week or so"

Wade is one of those people in radio that anyone who has worked with him admires and respects, and whilst it's sad to see someone of his calibre leave the industry, we wish him well.
