Vale Steve Cairns

Steve Cairns, General Manager of UBET Radio TAB in Brisbane, passed away overnight aged 53.

Steve joined Radio TAB in May this year as their new General Manager, following Graham Kemp’s retirement. Steve had worked for 19 years with RSN in Victoria before making the move back home to Queensland and the station 4TAB, he was a first part of in the early 90’s.

UBET Chief Operating Officer Barrie Fletton said:  “Steve brought with him a fantastic enthusiasm and in a very short time has made a significant and enduring positive impact at Radio TAB. I will miss his good humour, knowledge and capability, and I know he will be greatly missed by all of his colleagues and members of both the radio industry and racing industry.

Our deepest sympathies go to Steve’s wife Nadia, his family, colleagues and friends.”
