Vale Rhett Walker

Rhett Walker is credited as being the person who put together the launch format for Fox FM in 1980 when he was a radio consultant. He then became their first General Manager.

In his radio career he also consulted on Radio 3KZ and worked at 3DB, 3AK, 3KZ and 6PR in Perth.

Later in life he became a Professor of Business at La Trobe University in Bendigo.

In the early 1960s, Rhett had a one hour weekday evening segment on 2UW Sydney (playing “pop’ music at a time the station was still predominately MOR programming).
He was also stand-in compere for the ABC music show Six O’clock Rock when J O’k was not available.
