Two Brunettes & a Gay 

Popular Adelaide cabaret show Two Brunettes & a Gay have landed their very own show on Radio Italia Uno recently, bringing a mix of laughter, music and fun.

The show airs every Tuesday between 5-6pm and is hosted by sisters Deanna Carbone and Celeste La Scala with Aaron Collis. 

Bringing the same high energy showcased in their cabaret show, the trio keeps things fun and interesting. Recently, Aaron was successfully hypnotised on air by Adelaide Fringe performer Isaac Lomman and left unable to say his own name.

The show also explores contentious topics and popular culture including interviews with live guests like ex-Married at First Sight contestant Anthony Cincotta.

Two Brunettes & a Gay began their radio journey 12 months ago as regular guests on David Heath’s Soundtrack of your Life on Radio Italia Uno before trying their hand at their dream of having a podcast.

“Live radio has been a great change of pace for us. Being performers, we’re used to delivering one show for years at a time, whereas now we have to get creative and come up with a brand-new show each week! It works well because we always have crazy ideas that don’t make the cut of a stage show, but now we get to use most of them,” Aaron said. 

Two Brunettes & a Gay is also available for catch-up as a podcast which is on all major streaming services.

“We’re also chuffed to be offered the opportunity to hit all the major podcasting platforms with the help of Andy and the team at the Auscast Network. Having a podcast was always a pipe dream of ours, and now the show is building momentum with new audiences each week. We pinch ourselves sometimes… it’s taken off so quickly,” Deanna said.

Radio Italia Uno 87.6 Station Manager Mark Aiston said they’re a show to watch.

“There is plenty of wonderful talent out there, the trick is to identify it, offering that talent opportunity and then coaching and mentoring them,” Mark said. 

“The team are like a sponge, they want to get better and learn their craft, it’s been a pleasure to work with them along the journey. And Radio Italia Uno 87.6 is a wonderful platform for them to grow.”
