Andy ‘Tubes’ Taylor from Triple M Breakfast Hobart with Kaz & Tubes is joining7NEWS Tasmania as its weekday sports presenter.

From May 25^th, Tubes will be seen alongside Kim Millar (Mon – Wed) and Michael Maney (Thurs & Fri) at the 7NEWS desk in Seven Hobart’s new home.

To welcome Tubes to 7NEWS, Kim Millar joined Triple M Breakfast with Kaz & Tubes to discuss the move … and how to equitably share lollies.

So what are the rules? No footy talk for one.

Millar: “We don’t need to talk about the West Coast Eagles very much. It’s not going so well for me at the moment.”

Tubes: “I’m happy to not do that, if you’re happy to not talk about Carlton then.”

And when it comes to food, Kaz told Millar that Tubes needs to have lollies “on the regular”, with their split being 80-20 in Tubes favour. Millar wants a far more equitable split:

Milar: “And I’m with you with the lollies thing, so you and I, this could be a 50- 50 split.”

Tubes also shared how excited he was to be working alongside Kim:

Tubes: “I’m really looking forward to it Kim, and like I said to you, we’ve shared a couple of texts over the last couple of days since the announcement, and I’m really going to be leaning on you as someone I’ve watched on the news for a number of years, and really looking forward to working with you. But importantly, with the journalists at Seven Tasmania news who bring those stories, those local stories, to our screens every single day and I can’t wait to start working with you Kim.”
