Triple M’s Statues of Origin won by a Blue

Reporter

Queensland may have triumphed in the State of Origin decider … but Triple M’s epic test of strength and resilience at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium was – shock, horror – won by a BLUE.

In the lead up to last night’s showdown, under the watchful eye of the King Wally Lewis statue, Triple M Brisbane hosted a battle for the ages: Statues of Origin.

12 Triple M listeners held individual shields (made by brekkie co-host Marto in his back shed) above their heads, just like the Wally Lewis statue.

If they moved, they were out.

It was meant to be an epic test of strength and resilience … avid fans battling it out for 2 inner sanctum VIP tickets to Origin, seeing who could hold the shield the longest.

Then the heartbreak came.

The winner was a Blues supporter, Wayne Milliss.
