Triple M’s Beau Ryan weighs in on Kyle & Jackie O Show demise
Beau Ryan has weighed in on the dramatic end of the KIIS Network’s Kyle & Jackie O Show this morning on the Beau, Cat & Woodsy Triple M Sydney Breakfast show.
Ryan – who previously worked as a regular contributor on the KIIS Breakfast program before joining Triple M in 2025 – said he was saddened by how events have unfolded.
“I never like it when people lose their jobs,” he said. “I owe a lot to Jackie O – she gave me a start in Breakfast radio – and I worked very closely with Kyle. I’m very good friends with both of them.”
Ryan said while there has been significant public attention on the hosts, he is particularly thinking of production staff and crew impacted by the show’s end.
“My thoughts go to the team… there are a couple of dozen people who walk into work not knowing what happens next.”
Addressing public statements surrounding the split, Ryan admitted he was surprised by how quickly events unfolded. “I don’t get the play of what’s happened. I don’t understand it … and I don’t think we’ll ever know.”
“It feels like there’s more to the story.”
“They’ve been friends for 20 plus years. They’ve been on the air; they are the benchmark. Love them or hate them, they are a successful radio show, and very, very close friends. They have been forever. They’ve obviously had a falling out and the show is gone.”
Listen to Beau, Cat and Woodsy on Sydney’s 104.9 Triple M Sydney from 6-9am weekdays, also on LiSTNR.
