It’s over. Jackie O quits the Kyle & Jackie O Show

Jackie O Henderson has officially quit the Kyle & Jackie O Show.
Both she and Kyle Sandilands will cease to present the networked KIIS Breakfast show, on the basis that Henderson has expressed she cannot continue to work with Sandilands.
Henderson has been absent since being on the receiving end of an on-air spray from Sandilands.
An ASX market announcement released late this afternoon reads:
“ARN Media Limited announces that Ms Jacqueline Henderson has given notice that she “cannot continue to work with Mr Kyle Sandilands.”
Accordingly, ARN has terminated the services agreement with Henderson Media Pty Ltd, under which Ms Henderson presents the Kyle and Jackie O show. Ms Henderson will cease to present the Kyle and Jackie O show. ARN has also offered to Ms Henderson the possibility of an alternative show on the ARN network.
ARN has also provided written notice to Mr Kyle Sandilands and Quasar Media Services Pty Ltd (Quasar Media) stating that it considers that Mr Sandilands’ behaviour during the show on 20 February 2026 is an act of serious misconduct which is in breach of ARN’s services agreement with Quasar Media, under which Mr Sandilands presents the Kyle and Jackie O show. Mr Sandilands has been given 14 days to remedy this breach. If it is not remedied, ARN will terminate the services agreement with Quasar Media, and in that event Mr Sandilands will cease to present the Kyle and Jackie O show. During the 14 day period, Mr Sandilands will not take part in the show.
The KIIS breakfast show will be taken off-air effective immediately, with interim arrangements made for the show.”
An interim show will air for the next fortnight. GfK Survey 1 for 2026 is due out on Thursday March 19.

ARN has been a laughing stock for the last few years and it continues – staff from what I hear are tired, bored and totally disengaged, and anyone with talent leaving in droves – they can’t even get the pay equity piece right – its a shambles ……
The biggest move in Australian media history has just been pulled off.
Walks away with a massive lump sum payout, doesn’t have to work for the remainder of the contract.

2Day FM/SCA and NOVA must be rubbing their hands together. Should make the ratings an interesting thing to watch. So much for ARN putting all their eggs in the K&J basket to present national breakfast.
Like many others, can’t say that I’ll particularly miss The Kyle & Jackie O Show. Although it may have been a top rater in Sydney, they had a very long history of sexist, racist, homophobic, ableist, misogynistic and generally offensive commentary/segments.
One wonders if Smooth 95.3 will be popping champagne over this news? Jonesy & Amanda (who’d likely become the new #1 if they were still on brekky…) getting bumped to Drive along with the implosion of Kyle & Jackie O seems to guarantee that “The More Music Breakfast Show” with Bogart Torelli and Emma Duxbury will become the Sydney market’s new #1 FM brekky program as they’re basically now the only FM show in this market with some level of heritage.
Nova 96.9’s new offering still needs time to bed in, while I somehow can’t see 2DayFM or Triple M benefiting much.
Part of me does worry though about the eventual possibility of an independent Kyle Sandilands podcast, if ARN decide to terminate his service agreement in a couple of weeks.
Incredible insight into her character, or lack of it, that the final straw was not years of on-air bullying and vile behaviour directed at all manner of other, often vulnerable people — but some fairly mild piss-taking about her penchant for astrology. A degree of narcissism that needs its own chapter in the medical textbooks. Good riddance to her, and hopefully to him.
ARN were losing millions. They made a call. Purely a financial decision masked as a disagreement. They will have on air roles, with substantially lower wages
Kyle needs to remedy the situation, but he’s not allowed on air. So… how can he remedy it? Sounds a bit paradoxy for me. Feels like it’s him being shown the door with no chance to right it?
But I reckon 2day should throw her a career lifeline and say come home! And make the breakfast show hers!

When I heard that call Jackie was feeling unsafe at work. I thought this is getting serious. Hope they terminate Kyle’s contract as well. Start a fish and bring someone in from the inside or outside the team preferably can’t small.
I feel sorry for the behind the scenes team… my partner included.

She’s had a dream run for years in radio compared to others. Good on her but most Brekky duos have their issues sometimes one won’t pull their weight but these two had about 17 behind the scenes doing all the work for them so go figure.

Spare a thought for the HUNDREDS that suffered the same fate by just doing their jobs – and exceptionally well too, all so these clowns could take home a paycheck that eclipsed anyone else’s.
There’s war, that’s killing innocent people, there are children killed and attacked every day, people starving and tortured, what makes the media, in Australia, believe, that anyone gives a shit about Kyle and Jackie’s radio show, that has netted them millions, over many years. They have given nothing substantial to anyone, except they have lined their pockets very well. Enough, already, find something else to talk about.
