“This is just the beginning for us in Melbourne.” K & J head south for $5 Million Dawn Dig
“This is just the beginning for us in Melbourne. We’re blown away by the love and energy the city has shown us.”
That was the verdict from Jackie O Henderson, after hundreds of Melburnians descended on St Kilda West Beach in the early hours of this morning for Kyle & Jackie O’s $5 Million Dawn Dig

People started lining up along Beaconsfield Parade from 11pm the night before, ahead of K & J’s arrival in Melbourne.
And Kyle Sandilands hinted the city would be seeing more of the KIIS duo soon.
“We’re digging it here already,” he said. We’ve only just started.”

32-year-old Alisha Thomas from Mernda was the star of the morning, chosen as the person to dig for a life-changing $5 million fortune.
With her family looking on, Alisha selected Bag #20.

The winning bag was later revealed to be #163, but Alisha still scored a brand-new Suzuki Vitara for her efforts.
200 Melbourne listeners then got their chance to dig in the sand for prizes including luxury holidays to Vietnam and the Whitsundays, diamond bracelets, Kogan appliance packages, Greenworks e-bikes, concert tickets and thousands of dollars in cash.

Could we please get a time check on how long they were in the city?
Official Rolex timer says less than 12 hours. Less a commitment, more of a ‘stopover’ on the way to Italy.
Money doesn’t buy respect, class, manners, morals, character, integrity etc. etc.
The only way they are going to get people to listen to them or turn up to see them is to promise to give away 5 million dollars that we all new it was never going to go of just another stunt to get people to listen to them don’t bother just stay in Sydney you will never do any good in the ratings in Melbourne because we have taste here for good radio and you two are far from that give it up
I bet it would’ve been fine because they parked in a clearway which I didn’t know about.
Geez. Another story on them. Great journalism from the smiling Sarah Patterson.
They need to go to Melbourne more often, what they did this week worked well and created a buzz. If they keep doing live broadcasts there and are at Kiss in Melbourne more the ratings will go up, they should do half/half every week. Also, they do street crews well, and there is nothing wrong with mixing up Melbourne and Sydney on air giving away free products in two different locations every hour in Australia’s two biggest cities, good for advertisers too having such a big reach in one show.
The more they get to Melbourne the more people will dislike them. Two middle aged people acting like self important nobs.
Have a look at how angry and jealous you idiots are… how about you leave the real radio to me and you all just keep complaining and sending hate… fyi … it fuels me. Hahah kindest regards kyle
@Kyle Sandilands
Stick a VB longneck up ya!
Bullshit.
Some journalists on here are just vessels for this show.
No morals
Wow Kyle look at how insecure you are posting on radiotoday because it’s the only place you’re relevant and you can’t win even with a $5 million fake giveaway. Fun looking OB tho. Please keep losing. It fuels us…
Kyle Sandilands, living up to his reputation as a bully, even on this page.
