The infamous incident in July 2009 when Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O interviewed a 14-year old girl on a lie detector, is to become the subject of a theatrical production.

The broadcast involved a 14-year girl undergoing a lie detector test and being asked by her mother about whether she hd been sexually active. The girl revealed on-air that she had been raped.

The incident cause an outcry and lef to the suspension of the Kyle & Jackie show from 2Day FM for a brief period.

The play is called 'Tender Age', and will focus on how young people negotiate sexuality in a social-media world. Co-Director David Williams told News Limited;

"We've been very interested in the ways in which young people interact with adults other than their parents….what kind of world do we live in where a teenager's sexuality can be turned into a public spectacle through social media or mass media?"

Williams said that the the focus on the 2Day Breakfast Show in the play is limited to the lie detector incident, rather than any other specific occurences; "We haven't explored the glorious recent history of Kyle Sandilands to mine that for other material" .

The 'Tender Age' production will be performed from August at Carriageworks Theatre in Sydney.
