Sue Carter appointed Gold FM content director

Former Assistant Editor

ARN has announced Sue Carter as the new content director for Gold 104.3 Melbourne.

Carter has been with ARN since 2015, when she became CD for Mix102.3 Adelaide and Cruise 1323.

Her previous role will be taken over by Tony Aldridge. Originally from the UK, Aldridge comes from Nova in Sydney, and will start his new role on March 19.

ARN national content director Duncan Campbell says Carter’s appointment is key ahead of Christian O’Connell‘s arrival at Gold.

“Sue has been a valued member of the team in Adelaide and a key part of Mix102.3’s ongoing success, so I know she will be an excellent addition to GOLD104.3’s team in Melbourne ahead of the launch of Christian O’Connell’s Breakfast Show on June 4.

“I am pleased to welcome Tony Aldridge to ARN, his depth of knowledge and experience in radio will be a great asset to the Adelaide team.”

Carter has a wealth of experience in radio having worked for UTV in Ireland and GWR, GGap and JACKfm in the UK.

“I’m excited to be taking on this new role at GOLD104.3 and look forward to being part of a team that delivers innovative and engaging content for Melbourne audiences,” said Carter.

Sue Carter will begin at Gold on April 9.

Tony Aldridge’s departure from i98 was kept very quiet. I believe it happened some time ago.

Shhhhh – Don’t mention i98. He didn’t mention it once and he got away with it.

I read it as Tony Aldridge as has left Nova, but he spent a few years at i98.
Who’s the PD now? And why wasn’t it mentioned?
