Strawny’s 30th anniversary on the Mid North Coast

Staff Writer

Mark ‘Strawny’ Strachan is celebrating 30 years on the Mid North Coast, so Bodge and the team decided to pay tribute to their long-serving co-worker.

He started out when the station was on the AM band at 531AM, then stayed while the station became 2MC FM, and finally Triple M Mid North Coast.

The tributes flowed in from the likes of Kennedy-Molloy, Ray Hadley & NRL commentator Anthony Maroon.

Then, after revealing that Strawny is a big fan of his ‘You Can’t’ segment, the team organised Triple M Sydney’s Lawrence ‘Moonman’ Mooney to give a special shoutout.

After the tributes finished, Strawny pretended to be giving a retirement speech, taking everyone on along for the ride again.

SCA Mid North Coast GM Mike Crowhurst has decided Strawny will broadcast his show from all over the mid north coast throughout April to celebrate the milestone.
