Steve Blanda’s 60th

Outside winning a heap of ACRAs over the years, Steve Blanda celebrated another milestone today at 2UE.

His 60th.

As Steve walked out of the studio this morning he was greeted by all of the 2UE staff and singer Damien Leith for a rendition of Happy Birthday.

Steve started his career as an Office Boy at 2GB in1973 where he first met Brian White. His first On-Air role was at 2ST Nowra in1973 as a trainee announcer, where he became a Cadet Journalist.

Steve’s career then saw a move to 2SM in 1975 and by 1981 saw him win the first of many News Presenter Awards – the last was an ACRA for Best News Presenter Metro AM.

Steve has also worked at FOX FM and 2WS.  By 1998 he had joined 2UE, where he has been since.
