Star FM shines in Xtra Insights Survey 1 for Mackay

ARN’s Star FM has sparkled in the Xtra Insights Survey 1, 2024 for Mackay – the most listened to station among people 10+, up a huge 5.0 to 21.9.
Star FM’S Rach and Jake enjoyed a 3.6 gain in Breakfast to lead the pack at 21.4. Triple M holds down second spot in Breakfast (+0.2 to 19.9) while Hit is third (-2.7 to 17.3).
Star FM Content Director Scott Linden led the congratulations, saying “I’m excited for our breakfast show Rach and Jake, with Rach returning from maternity leave and claiming her seventh #1 10+ in breakfast.”
Star FM General Manager Paul O’Connor says “I couldn’t be prouder of our local team they made it all about our listeners and today the listeners made it all about Star FM, thank you Mackay and the Whitsundays.”
SCA Head of Regional Content, Blair Woodcock said “Congrats to the entire Mackay & The Whitsundays team today on their amazing radio survey results, showing their drive for great engaging content has made SCA the #1 Network in the region.”
“Both stations have seen fantastic growth, not only with a 6% increase in audience and 56% reach of the market, SCA in Mackay & The Whitsundays now reaches over 27% more People 25-54, than our nearest competitor network. The strength of our two brands individually is on point with over 20% audience growth on Triple M and 11% on Hit.
“I also wanted to do a special shout out to Triple M’s Jay and Dave. Not only are they celebrating their 3000th show together tomorrow morning, but they have also grabbed the #1 Breakfast Show Males 25-54 with great audience growth as well!”
