Sophie Campbell joins 2Day FM as breakfast EP, Toni Kipa to Nova with Ricki-Lee and Tim

There have been some shifting of seats behind the scenes, with NOVA and SCA Sydney breakfast shows both getting a new Executive Producer, as well as new breakfast show teams this year.

Toni Kipa departed her role as EP of Jimmy and Nath with Emma on 2DayFM in December, a week after Jimmy Smith announced he would be stepping away as co-host to focus on his mental health. Sophie Campbell (pictured), who had been an EP with the network before in Newcastle for Hit 106.9 breakfast and most recently a senior producer with Mamamia, has stepped into Toni’s role. Nath Roye and Emma Chow will also be without content manager Violet Merhi who recently welcomed a baby boy and is choosing to focus on family, and getting some sleep.

Toni (pictured above) will join Nova 969’s new breakfast team of Ricki-Lee Coulter and Tim Blackwell when they commence next Monday February 9. In further wonderful news for the station, news reader Ash Gardner announced she was pregnant today with bub due in July. Ash and her husband Christian have decided to wait till the baby arrives to find out the sex. In the interim Ricki-Lee and Tim will likely have a fill in for the role while Ash enjoys new motherhood.
