Some gaffa tape, an iPhone, a baton

The Commonwealth Games are in full swing, so what do you do with some gaffa tape, an iPhone,  and a gymnast's baton with a pretty ribbon attached? 

This breakfast team's mission? To get it to Glasgow – it started last week.

B105’s Labby, Stav & Abby wanted to be part of the Queen’s Baton Relay in the lead-up to the Commonwealth Games. They weren’t invited.

So, they started their own relay in Brisbane. The guys gave an iPhone with a charger attached to a relay baton to a listener with the hope that it would end up in Glasgow (and possibly make it back).

So far, the relay baton has made it all the way to London.

It’s taken in the sights including the iconic Abbey Road.

Labby, Stav & Abby are hoping it will make it to Glasgow on Tuesday afternoon, with the aim of getting into the athlete’s village at some point.

If not, someone will end up with a free iPhone.
