Smooth jackpot goes off

Radio Stations are generally not a fan of giving away big prizes out of survey, unless there is a competitive reason for doing so when other stations 'stars' are away.

For Smooth FM, with this week being the final survey week for 2012, it would have been unhelpful if their 'smooth stars' jackpot hadn't gone off. Luckily, today it did. 

A listener identified the final celebrity today and claimed $137,000, this was the second 'smooth stars' jackpot networked across the two Smooth stations, the first was $131,000 was awarded in August. 

DMG have announced that the tactic will return in the new year with a new jackpot amount.
