Signed, sealed and delivered: C91.3 give away new car covered in listeners’ signatures

C91.3’s Breakfast Show hosts Lyndal and Josh surprised Minto local Shirley Imber by pulling up at her workplace and handing over the keys to a brand new Hyundai i30 from Wakeling Automotive… sporting the signatures of 716 people!

Over the past three weeks, the eye catching car has been touring the streets of the Macarthur region with C91.3 listeners who signed the car, ensuring that they sealed their entry for the chance to have it delivered in person by Lyndal and Josh.

During this morning’s live broadcast from the i30, the Breakfast team kept everyone guessing as they honed in on the winner’s location of Wests League Club after finding out at eleventh hour that she had left home early for work.

Luckily, Shirley’s boss Kevin was on hand to help and found an excuse for her to be out the front of the club as Lyndal and Josh pulled up and gave her the surprise of a lifetime.

After entering the competition by signing the car last Tuesday morning at Minto train station, the ecstatic Shirley couldn’t believe that she had won, “It’s a dream come true, I never expected anything like this…I’m blown away.”

At being handed over the keys, Shirley asked if the signatures would be removed to which Josh replied, “We’re giving you a rag and some turps!”
