Secret Sound takes eight months to be identified

After eight months, a Magic 1278 listener in Melbourne has finally cracked the station's Secret Sound.

The prize pool for the correct started out at $200 last October.

By the time the sound was correctly identified, it had jackpotted to $5,140.

The winning call aired on Ric Ditchburn's Drive program.

And the Secret Sound was the noise made by adjusting the height of cutting blades on a lawn mower.

Magic 1278 has run the Secret Sound since 2011.
