SEA FM’s Jay & Dave lend a hand

SEA FM’s Jay & Dave, along with Mackay businesses have come to the rescue of a local battler.

Irene of North Mackay had her car windscreen smashed in over the weekend. With the bills mounting up for rego and doing it tough with her husband looking for more work, it was the last thing the family needed.

Jay & Dave gave Irene a call this morning and not only did they organize for her windscreen to be replaced, a local dealer also shouted her rego for 12 months as well.

Irene naturally was brought to tears with the news.

“Considering Mackay is hurting badly with the mining downturn, it’s great to see the generosity of others…… and it gave us a good feeling to be able to use what we do to help a battler in such an immediate way”, Dave told Radio Today.
