SCA Director retires

Staff Writer

Southern Cross Austereo Director Tony Bell has resigned from the company, effective from 30 June.

Bell has a long history in radio, not only on the SCA board, but as Managing Director of Southern Cross Broadcasting for many years.

SCA Chairman Max Moore-Wilton said;

“On behalf of the SCMG Board and management, I thank Tony for the valuable contribution he has made over the past six years and I wish him well in retirement”.

Bell has said that his retirement plan committed him to extensive international travel from July 2014 and that he would not be available for most of the scheduled board meetings over the next twelve months.

Mr Moore-Wilton said that as part of the Board’s renewal process an appointment of a new director is expected to be made in the near future.
