Sam Mac scores gig on Wake Up

Staff Writer

Sam Mac started his radio career at SAFM in Adelaide after winning one of those 'Who wants to be a co-host' comps. He then went onto be part of the 92.9 breakfast show in Perth until late 2011 when he moved to Sydney. He has most recently filled in for Fitzy & Wippa on Nova 96.9 with Kate Ritchie.

Since moving east he has been seen on the TV more and more, with regular appearances on The Project and on Fox Sport's 'The B-League' with Triple M's Jules Schiller. He also releases regular comedy video's on his YouTube channel.

Mac has now been announced as the roving reporter for the new Channel Ten breakfast show 'Wake Up.'

"I personally think that breakfast TV is a little bit stale," Mac said. "The challenge for us is to bring something new to that timeslot and bring something that is genuinely different and which is making some waves and getting people excited about watching breakfast TV again."

"Let's hope enough people watch it."

Sam will join Nuala Hafner, Natarsha Belling, James Mathison and Natasha Exelby.
