Yet again it is shown that bringing KJ into Melbourne has failed. But EVERY survey the staff at ARN are met with the statement of ‘it worked for Christian, it will work for KJ’. Duncan Campbell, it might be wise at this point to lay down your career, take responsibility for what you’ve done, and enjoy retirement…

What a couple of years for ARN – its a disaster nationally 25-54, the SCA takeover debacle, share price down from over $2 to 70c, market cap down by 150 million and continual redundancies – Ciaran Davis is the CAPTAIN of the life raft.

With no sales teams left I’m sure the content and HR teams can sell this disaster

Well WS at the top didnt last long down all gigs. UE needs to re invent it self , maybe go rock, pop format like 2SM in the 70’s, relive those days with entertaining jocks , they’ve got nothing to lose, as for K and J in Melbourne , well, great move there , meanwhile ARN are dumping staff left right and centre, to compensate for their inept management

Weren’t the results of this survey supposed to be released next Tuesday? If so, was the release brought forward so Ray Hadley could celebrate his final survey on-air? Anyway…

It’s an historic survey for Smooth, becoming Sydney’s outright #1 rating station for the first time in nearly two decades of commercial radio on 95.3 in this city. Given that Ty Frost was only 0.6% behind Ray, I’d suggest that Mornings could be a winnable timeslot for Smooth in 2025.

Although WSFM’s ratings fell during all timeslots, one would’ve thought 9.6% overall and 10.5% at brekky is still a very respectable position for them to be in. Nowhere near poor enough to deem the Gold 101.7 rebrand necessary, I would’ve thought.

Breakfast ratings of both stations will be interesting to watch next year, with Smooth loosing Ron Wilson to 2SM and 101.7 next year being without Gen Y Ry (Ryan Atkins), whose chemistry with Jonesy & Amanda has likely been a major contributor to WS’ improving brekky ratings over the past couple of years.

It’s pretty obvious to me that ACE Radio need to run 4BH’s highly successful “Classic Hits” format on 2UE next year. Not saying the ratings down here will be anywhere near as high as up there but with 101.7 about to implode, it’s an obvious opportunity for them to take.

ABC Radio Sydney’s falling ratings across the board will no doubt vindicate their decision to make changes, despite the widespread outrage over Sarah Macdonald’s axing.

Surprised that Triple M 104.9 went up across the board, despite the major upheaval expected there next year. Still average ratings for 2DayFM, Jimmy & Nath’s chances of returning to brekky in 2025 would be pretty low, I think.

If i read correctly, 4bh is now#2 overall in Brisbane.
Wow!

Sadly that’s as high as i think they can get 2% is a lot to make up. but what a ride.

Read it wrong, but only 0.1 between 4bh and triple m.
Still, to be in front of 2 commercial fm stations. Wow

@Anon ARN,
the fact they still think that Christian O’Connell and K&J are comparable proves they have no idea what they’re doing.

Especially because the real comparison should be with Christian O’Connell and Jase & PJ who both came from overseas roles to a new shift at breakfast.
