RadioApp update brings over 250 stations to the car

Staff Writer

Consumers can now stream more than 250 Australian radio stations in the car with the integration of RadioApp into Apple’s CarPlay and Google’s Android Auto.

The latest version of the popular app released today allows users to easily view and play radio stations through their car’s infotainment system.

Listeners can tune in to commercial, ABC, SBS and DAB+ digital stations, as well as having the option to create playlists and configure alarm and sleep-timer functions to personalise individual listening preferences.

“Consumers today expect freedom and connectivity and we want to make sure they can listen to their favourite local radio stations however they want and wherever they are,” said CRA’s CEO Joan Warner.

“Now users will be able to take RadioApp on the road, with a smooth transition from the phone to the car dashboard,” Warner added.

Originally released in November 2016, RadioApp has been downloaded 140,000 times across both the App Store and Google Play.
